Highly resistant to chemicals and most solvents, thin but super-strong; tactile and virtually non-allergenic. These are the best gloves for fairly robust work and may involve solvents, acid or caustics. For work with very dangerous chemicals, double gloving and other precautions are advised. These gloves are best value for money.
Overall length of gloves is 240mm and minimum thickness in the palm and finger regions is 0.13 and 0.18mm respectively. Width of palm ranges from 83 (S) to 112mm for XL size.
Nitrile gloves have some outstanding properties, particularly mechanical strength and they also have the greatest chemical and solvent resistance of any gloves. Tensile strength before and after ageing is a minimum of 14.0 Mpa. The elongation factor after ageing is 500%.
However, latex gloves are still more tactile and elastic. Specifications and physical properties of these nitrile gloves comply with Australian Glove Standard AS/NZ 4011-1997; Australian Therapeutic Goods No.52 EN 455; ASTM D3578; ISO 11193 and Physical Test: AQL 1.5; Water Tightness Test: AQL G1-1.5(Austr. standard S4-2.5w; Air Tightness Test: AQL 1.5
