RADIATION METERS ESB840007 & ESB840026
This instrument is used in applications where radiation may be present in greater than trace amounts. Small and light enough to go anywhere, yet sensitive enough to detect minuscule amounts of gamma, beta, or X rays. Excellent for scanning lab work areas and clothing, for traces of radioactivity after clean-up, or as a personal monitor in areas of potential radiation exposure. Useful in school labs for geology and science projects. One-button operation, can be used by untrained personnel. Uses a Geiger-Mueller tube detector. The ESB840007 meter registers 0.1 to 10mR/hr, (milli-roentgen), on a unique logarithmic scale. Audible clicking will increase with the amount of background radiation. Beeping begins at 20mR/hr, increasing in frequency in proportion to the radiation level. Powered by a 9 Volt battery, included, which lasts 50 hours at normal backgound levels.

ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD TESTER
Measures electromagnetic emissions from electrical power lines and power transmission, computers, HVAC, audio/video, and other electrical appliances and equipment. While evidence of the carcinogenic effect of such electromagnetic emissions is still inconclusive, it is recommended to avoid excessive exposure over long periods of time. VAC-U-PICK vacuum pick-up system
An alternative way of handling TEM grids and many other small objects. Suction is controlled by placing a finger on or off a hole on the pen-type handle.
Grids are handled using one of the squared-off hyperdermic needles and picking up the grid by the rim. Grids may be turned over by dropping them from a height of 10mm. Many specimens are handled much faster and gentler than with tweezers. Vac-U-Pick is quiet and eliminates tweezer damage to grids and other specimens. Suction is powerful; it can lift an SEM mount! May be used as a small transfer pump for liquids.
